Synopsis: Martin Ziggle is lonely, and always has been... his dog even ran away from him. All the lonliness in his life made him whiney and self sulking. Now, as a grown man he is a scientist, actually, a freelance scientist- and freelance meaning he makes dirty weapons for well paying, rougue terrorist groups. He frequents a therapist by the name of Dr. Freudlien, not because of remorse but because he simply feels bad for himself. These sessions never quite help though because the doctor himself, is a bit eccentric. So... Martin spirals deeper into depression with nothing to do but work on his latest project: a dirty bomb for his customer(and the closest thing to a friend he's got) Marion, the leader of a French terrorist group. Marion is a well mannered, albeit polar leader who wnts nothing more than to teach America a lesson. He is the kind of guy who would send your mother flowers, and at the same time, kill you if you look at him wrong. One day Martin has a chance meeting with a beautiful woman named Mary, and she sees something in him, something that makes her befriend him. Martin is no longer lonely, and with the prospect of love in the future, he decides to change his ways- and stops work on Marion's bomb. Of course marion isn't too happy with this decision, and decides to hunt Martin down. Things are only complicated when a young wiseass detective is tipped off on Martins involvement in the terrorists plot. Now, with all this hitting the fan, Martin must go on the run to protect his newfound happiness. Will our righteously affected hero live till tomorrow, to start a new life?

What the Press would say:

"The most gratifying, feel good film of the year is found within 'The lonely Life of martin Ziggle'. Steven Soderbergh is a genius in his hands-off approach, he seemingly just lets his cast just act away... and it is a spectacle. If not for Eddie Jemison's winning, breakout performance as the title chaacter, I would have to say that the show was easily stolen, by any number of the supporting cast. Much praise for Jean Reno as the devilishly taut and often polar Marion. Sam Neil is electric playing the hard drinking and self indulgent therapist. Don't forget about Ellen Barkin who is totally immersed as the righteously affecting Mary. Steve Zahn is just icing on the cake. It certatintly helps to have a wonderfully complex and most excellent script, which it does, supplied by Alvin Sargent. Hilarious at times, and always brilliant, 'Martin Ziggle' is a masterwork!"
